Le soleil est soumis en permanence à des éruptions solaires. Celles-ci génèrent des vents solaires qui touchent la Terre sous forme d'ondes magnétiques.

Ces ondes sont mesurées par des instruments scientifiques au niveau du Pôle Nord. Cette mesure est appelée l'Index KP. "Solar Echo" affiche cet index en temps réel sous forme d'ondes : plus elles sont nombreuses et denses, plus l'activité solaire est importante. 

Pour résumer, "Solar Echo" est une oeuvre qui affiche en temps réel les vents solaires qui touchent la Terre au niveau du Pôle Nord.

The sun is constantly subject to solar fields. These generate solar winds that hit the Earth in the form of magnetic waves.

These waves are measured by scientific instruments at the North Pole. This measurement is called the KP Index. "Solar Echo" displays this index in the form of waves: the more they are numerous, the more solar activity is important.

To make it short : "Solar Echo" shows in real time the solar winds that touch the Earth at the North Pole.
